Krystle always knew she was meant to be a singer.

From the ripe age of 3 years old, she picked up a karaoke mic and started singing her heart out. Her mother took notice and decided she needed to be singing for a room full of people. Krystle started performing in front of audiences at 9 years old, kicking off her first performance for her late great grandmother’s 50th birthday singing “If We Hold On Together” by Diana Ross. Since then, she became addicted to sharing her voice and making others smile, even for a moment. In the following years, Krystle went on to sing at piano recitals with her local studio Hollywood Music, got involved in community theater and eventually ended up opening for popular Filipino artists touring in San Diego such as Vina Morales and Jose Mari Chan. She branched out internationally for the first time and took on acting workshops with ABS-CBN in the Philippines and did small bits in TV shows on their network. By the age of 12, Krystle had already created a name for herself in the San Diego community.

At the start of high school, Krystle decided to join the dance team. She ended up finding her second passion and love for dance. Krystle trained mostly in hip hop and jazz styles. In her latter high school years she became an assistant dance captain and choreographed some numbers for the team, which fulfilled her love for creating. Post high school, Krystle continued her dance training at studios such as Culture Shock and Studio FX, where she found a tribe in the hip hop dance community in Southern California. During this time, she had the opportunity to learn from choreographers such as Marty Kudelka, Luam, Shaun Evaristo, David Moore, Keone & Mari Madrid and much more. Krystle also started posting singing videos on YouTube, where she gained almost 15,000 subscribers. She signed with music manager Jon de Castro and went on to perform nationwide at collegiate shows alongside other YouTube pioneers such as AJ Rafael, Tori Kelly, Angie Girl, Jeremy Passion and more. After spending a few years in both the Southern California hip hop dance and YouTube communities, Krystle craved more autonomy as a creative individual. So she decided to take her singing career seriously.

Shortly after this decision, Krystle was contacted by representives from a Japanese record label, Avex Entertainment, who discovered her via YouTube. She signed an Artist Development deal with Avex and spent the next 3 months training at their facilities in the heart of Harajuku. She was provided with singing, dancing and language lessons from the company. At the time, Krystle was training in the same building as prominent J-pop stars such as Crystal Kay and BoA. She was immersed in the hustle, bustle and beauty of Japanese culture, which opened up her eyes to the amazing possibilities of the future.

After this life-changing opportunity, Krystle decided it was time to begin her journey as an independent artist back in the states. Through early social media, she connected with producers Kenni Roberson and CP Phan, as well as songwriters Robyn Jackson and Jeremy Crooks, who were collectively known as The Motives Group. Krystle dove head first into the world of recording and songwriting, finding identity in her own sound and learning the ropes of audio production first hand. In 2010, she released her debut album titled “Underneath Me”, which included high energy pop tunes to soft sultry R&B influences inspired by Danity Kane, Lady Gaga, and Beyoncé. Krystle released her first music video with RAWMIX Productions for her single “Eternity” on YouTube, which to this day has garnered almost 200,000 views.

In 2012, she decided to pack up and move to Los Angeles to keep the momentum going on her career. Krystle was scouted by casting director Susan Salgado of Triplet Casting to audition for a new reality singing competition on The CW Network called The Next: Fame Is At Your Doorstep. After passing preliminary auditions, she got the news that she would be one of 4 featured contestants for the Los Angeles episode of The Next. Grammy-winning hip hop artist Nelly served as her mentor and off screen she had the honor of working with vocal coach Debra Byrd (American Idol, The Voice). She impressed the other three judges—John Rich, Joe Jonas and Gloria Estefan then moved on to the next rounds where she then finished as a semifinalist.

Following Krystle’s TV stint, she decided to focus on musical theater and did a couple of productions with Theatre Out in Santa Ana, CA. She had the privilege of being a part of the Orange County Premiere of Bare: The Musical where she played Ivy Robinson and soon after played Mimi in Rent. Fast forward to 2014, Krystle landed her first cruise ship gig with Carnival Cruise Line as a singer/dancer. She spent 4 contracts aboard (in order) Carnival Glory, Carnival Dream, Carnival Breeze, and Carnival Elation traveling through the Caribbean islands performing very physical and vocally challenging pop/rock/r&b production shows. Here, Krystle was able to hone in on her craft and redefine herself as a triple threat. After her time with Carnival came to an end in 2017, she took a 5-year hiatus from cruise ships and planted her feet firm in Washington, DC.

Throughout her time in DC, Krystle intentionally focused on refining her acting skills. She took a semester of a Musical Theater course at the Studio Theater Acting Conservatory in the heart of DC and later was selected to be a part of an intensive workshop in New York City with Hamilton Broadway stars Gregory Treco, Thayne Jasperson, Alycia Deslorieux and more. Krystle had the honor of playing Lucy Burns for the Washington DC Premiere of 19: The Musical, based on the womens’ suffrage movement in the 1920’s. In early 2020, Krystle was slated to play the lead role of Molly in a regional production of Ghost The Musical based on the film with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze, however, the production was eventually canceled due to the pandemic.

After countless virtual readings and shows during the lull of social distancing and isolation, Krystle longed to perform on stage again and decided to return to cruise ships—this time with Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. She did her first contract with NCLH in 2022 as a Production Cast Principal aboard the Norwegian Dawn then the Norwegian Spirit, where Krystle enjoyed her travels along the Pacific from Alaska, Hawaii, French Polynesia, to Australia and New Zealand. Recently, she completed her first contract with Royal Caribbean International as a Featured Singer on the beautiful Freedom of the Seas. Most notably during this contract, Krystle placed 1st in the Professional Category for the onboard crew talent show and went on to place 3rd overall in the fleetwide competition, securing one of 2 wins for the Freedom in the Top 3.

Krystle will be returning to Creative Studios by NCLH to be a part of the inaugural cast of their latest production show, Bring Back The 90’s, directed by Scott Weinstein and choreographed by James Alonzo White. This exciting new show will feature music by the Spice Girls, Britney Spears, Celine Dion, *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys and many more. It will be premiering on the Norwegian Getaway in the Spring of 2025.
